AMR Corporation (American Airlines and American Eagle) (Dallas/Fort Worth) is planning to furlough up to 175 pilots in the first half of this year because of its reduced capacity and not enough pilots are leaving. American reduced its capacity by 4.9 percent in the fourth quarter of 2009 compared with a year ago.
