American Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth) is being pressured to make a strategic move to counter the recent merger of Delta-Northwest and now the proposed Continental-United merger. If approved, AA will slip into the third position according to size. However AA does not appear eager to get married. US Airways is eager for a merger, but AA is reluctant. Is AA being out maneuvered?
