Arik to begin flying a Nigerian registered aircraft to New York following Category 1 status

Arik Wings of Nigeria (Arik Air) (arikair.com) (Lagos), following Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) certification, known as Category One, disclosed that it will start operating a Nigerian registered aircraft on the Lagos to New York (JFK) route.

Arik Air’s Airbus A340-500 aircraft had since November 2010 been flying the Lagos-New York JFK route under a foreign registration (CS-TFW), leased from and operated by HiFly (Lisbon).
