Ryanair (Dublin) has announced it will drop 30% of its flights and nine routes from Hahn Airport near Frankfurt in 2011 due to a new tourist tax approved by the German government this year.
The number of flights will drop from 532 per week to 382 according to the airline. The number of based aircraft will also drop from 11 to eight 737-800s. The nine routes that will be dropped from Hahn include Agadir, Berlin (from January 10, 2011), Gdansk, Gothenburg, Klagenfurt, Prague, Santiago, Seville and Wroclaw while 15 other routes will suffer reduced frequencies.
