SpiceJet earns $2.2 million, will order up to 30 Q400s

SpiceJet Boeing 737-86J WL G-CGPP (msn 29641) QLA (Antony J. Best) (new addition), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

SpiceJet (Delhi) earned net income of $2.2 million in the three months ending on September 30, its fiscal second quarter.

In other news, the airline is planning to order up to 30 Bombardier DHC-8-402s (Q400s) with deliveries starting in the second quarter of 2011. The new type will be used on regional feeder routes.
