Turkish Airlines’ passengers prevent a hijacking

Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-8F2 WL TC-JFU (msn 29781) AYT (Ton Jochems), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

Turkish Airlines’ (Istanbul) passengers today prevented a hijacking on a Oslo-Istanbul flight. The passengers on the Boeing 737-800 overpowered the hijacker, named as Yasar Cuma, as he stormed the cockpit less than an hour before arrival at Istanbul and demanded the aircraft return to Oslo, claiming he had a bomb.
