Virgin America starts Los Angeles-Cancun flights

Virgin America Airbus A320-214 N629VA (msn 3037) MIA (Bruce Drum), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

Virgin America (San Francisco) yesterday (January 19) launched nonstop flights to Cancun International Airport (CUN) from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The airline will also launch direct flights to CUN from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) starting today (January 20). The launch marks the third international destination.

For the airline’s virgin voyage to Cancun, Virgin America is teaming up with VH1 to host the first-ever mile-high episode of VH1’s “Top 20 Video Countdown” onboard its inaugural flight.
