Senegal Airlines (Dakar) is preparing to launch scheduled passenger operations on January 25 with two Airbus A320s as the new flag carrier of Senegal.
The new airline was the vision of the President of the Republic of Senegal, Abdoulaye Wade. Implemented under the leadership of Mr. Karim Wade, the State Minister, Minister of Air Transport, the company was established in May 2009 following the liquidation of the national carrier Air Senegal International. Senegal Airlines is a partnership between the State of Senegal and the private sector in Senegal.
Senegal Airlines will initially operate nonstop flights from Dakar to Abidjan, Bamako, Banjul, Conakry, Nouakchott and Ouagadougou.
