Virgin Blue Airlines warns of a lower first half profit, Air New Zealand increases its share

Virgin Blue Airlines (Brisbane) has warned of a lower first half profit. Analysts quickly downgraded estimates of Virgin Blue’s full-year earnings after the CEO warned of softness in their markets, especially due to the flooding in Queensland.

Meanwhile partner Air New Zealand (Auckland) has raised its share in Virgin Blue to 14.9 percent.
