United Airlines grounds its 96 Boeing 757s for “unscheduled maintenance”

United Airlines Boeing 757-222 WL N549UA (msn 25397) SEA (Bruce Drum), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

United Airlines (Chicago) yesterday grounded its 96 Boeing 757-200s. The carrier only expects minimal delays today and no cancellations. The grounding was due to precautionary follow-up maintenance checks on the 757’s inflight air data computers.
