Air Canada’s pilots vote down the new proposed contract

Air Canada’s (Montreal) pilots, represented by the Air Canada Pilots Association, have voted down by a wide margin (67% voted “no”) a new tentative collective agreement with the company. The pilots were angry about the company’s plans to create a new leisure LCC and proposed changes to their pension plan. The pilots were so angry they fired the four union representatives who negotiated the deal. In short, the pilots want to go back to the negotiating table.
