Yak Service Yak-42 crashes on takeoff, 43 killed, Russia mourns the loss of the Lokomotiv Yaroslav Hockey Team

Yak Service (Moscow) Yakovlev Yak-42, registration RA-42434 (msn 4305017), operating a charter flight from Yaroslavl, Russia to Minsk, Belarus with 37 passengers including the Lokomotiv Yaroslav Hockey Team and eight crew members, crashed on takeoff from Yaroslavl’s Tunoshna Airport yesterday (September 7). 43 people are now reported to have been killed in the crash.
