Air France to add a new route to Wuhan, China

Air France (Paris) on April 11, 2012 will begin operating scheduled service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. Air France is the first airline to offer direct flights between Wuhan and Europe.

The new service will be operated three times a week. Flight AF 132 will depart from Paris-Charles de Gaulle on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, returning from Wuhan the following day.

The return flight, AF 139, will depart from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in Paris-Charles de Gaulle on the same day.

Flights will be operated with Boeing 777-200 ER equipment, which can seat up to 309 passengers: 35 in Business, 24 in Premium Voyageur and 250 in the Voyageur/Economy cabin.

Air France has also just celebrated 45 years of presence in China: on September 20, 1966, Air France launched its Paris-Shanghai route, thus becoming the first Western airline to fly to the People’s Republic of China.
