The past 10 years have been the safest for airline safety in the United States

As we celebrate a new year it is appropriate to look back. The past 10 years has been the safest 10-year period for airline safety in the history of commercial aviation in the United States. In this 10-year period, U.S. air carriers only recorded 153 fatalities. That amounts to two deaths for every 100 million passengers carried. A remarkable record indeed. For all of the aviation professionals, we salute you for a job well done. It is surely the safest way to travel according to the Associated Press and this article by the Salt Lake Tribune.
