PAL Airlines to open a new route to Lima, Peru

PAL Airlines Boeing 737-322 CC-ACE (msn 24669) SCL (Alvaro Romero/ModoCharlie.com) (first 737-300), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

PAL Airlines (Santiago) yesterday (January 5) announced the opening of a new route to Lima in Perú, via Iquique (a city in northern Chile).

The company will also expand its flights to southern Chile cities including Concepcion, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas.

This goal is to be achieved by the end of the first half of 2012, and PAL is adding three more Boeing 737-300s to its fleet, replacing the older 737-200s.
