ALPA objects to temporary pilots being imported in the winter to fly Canadians south

Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) of Canada is objecting to a Canadian law which permits charter airlines like Sunwing Airlines (Toronto) from bringing in temporary pilots during its busy winter season. The Canadian chapter of ALPA believes Canadian pilots can be trained for this annual upswing according to this article by The Vancouver Sun. Sunwing leases in extra aircraft during its winter season and increases its flight schedule.
