airAlps is declared insolvent, the fleet is grounded at Innsbruck

airAlps (Innsbruck) did not have a good Friday, the 13th. The airline was declared insolvent and its fleet of three Dornier 328-100s were taken out of service and stored at the Innsbruck base on January 13. The company was operating to Milan, Parma, Rome and Salerno in association with Alitalia.

The airline commenced operations in 1998.
