Air Canada’s 8,000 mechanics reject the proposed new contract

Air Canada’s (Montreal) 8,000 mechanics and ground crews have voted against a new tentative contract. The members also gave a strike authorization. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers is not planning to strike and appears ready to go back to the negotiating table.
