American Airlines to cut another 1,200 non-union positions

American Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth) is planning to cut 1,200 non-union jobs according to this report by Reuters.

According to the report, the cuts include “non-union passenger and cargo agents, sky caps, and baggage service workers at smaller airports, including Memphis, Reno, Sacramento and Portland, Oregon.”

These cuts are in addition to the previously announced 13,000 unionized positions.

AMR and American Airlines are currently in the Chapter 11 reorganization process.
