Ansett Australia (Ansett Airlines) (Melbourne) flew for over 66 years before it was placed into administration (bankruptcy) in 2001. The final liquidation came a year later.

Today an advertising company in Australia has placed a picture of an Ansett aircraft in The Age along with a website address to gauge if there is any interest in reviving the name.
