JetBlue Airways (New York) springs into summer today with inaugural seasonal service from Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS) to Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK). JetBlue will offer daily jet service to its 45th nonstop destination out of Logan through September 4.
In addition to JetBlue’s new seasonal service from Boston, daily nonstop flights between the airline’s home base at New York’s John F. Kennedy airport and two popular New England summer colonies – Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard – also begin today. Service from New York’s JFK to both Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard will run daily throughout the summer. A second daily flight between JFK and Nantucket will be added beginning on June 21 through September 10, 2012.

In addition to this new seasonal nonstop service on JetBlue to Nantucket from Boston, JetBlue customers will continue to have year-round access to Nantucket and other Cape and Islands destinations through its partnership with Massachusetts-based airline Cape Air (Hyannis).
JetBlue’s flights from Boston to Nantucket will be operated with its 100-seat Embraer ERJ 190 fleet – the only jet service between the two cities.
