Air Dolomiti’s ATR 72-500 I-ADCD runs off the runway at Munich

Air Dolomiti’s (Verona and Munich) ATR 72-212A I-ADCD (ATR 72-500), registered as I-ADCD (msn 664), was damaged yesterday (May 17) while operating flight EN 1912 from Munich to Venice with 58 passengers and four crew members on board. The flight returned to Munich after the smoke was detected in the cabin and one of the engines was causing problems. As a precaution the right engine was shut down.

On landing the airliner skidded off the runway and stopped in the grass with damage to the nose and the underside. Five people reported minor injuries exiting the aircraft.
