Minoan Air to fly from Oxford

Minoan Air (Herkalion) is expanding operations with a new base for its Fokker 50s at Oxford in the United Kingdom. The airline issued the following statement:

Minoan Air announces the commencement of five routes out of the London Oxford Airport in early 2013.

Five routes have been identified from the London Oxford Airport that demonstrate satisfactory traffic potential. The airline plans to operate the Munich, Amsterdam, Copenhagen Dublin and Edinburgh routes starting in January 2013 with a gradual introduction that will last for two months. The objective of the airline is to offer a premium service with no additional charges. More routes are under examination.

The frequency and departure time for each route will be tailored to the requirement of the business passenger for each specific route. Ticket sales for these routes will be available both online and from travel agencies by the middle of November 2012.

The new airline started operations 0n June 1, 2011 flying to Ibiza, Malaga, Valencia, Costa Daurada (Catalonia), Jerez de la Frontera (Andalusia), Alicante, Menorca and Palma de Mallorca.
