Aerolíneas Argentinas (Buenos Aires) is displaying its retired former British Airways Boeing 737-236 LV-ZYG (msn 21795) at the Tecnópolis Fair in Villa Martelli, Buenos Aires (see map below). The fair was created in 2010 to show the achievements of the Argentine government over the past 200 years of the modern history of the country. The former airliner is displayed in the new 2010 livery of Aerolíneas Argentinas. The display features LCD displays on each window to simulate the takeoff, the flight and the landing of a real aircraft.
There are groups of up to 75 people that have to check-in (as in an airport) before boarding the Boeing 737. The show lasts around 15 minutes.
LV-ZYG was unassembled at the airport and trucked to the city location, reassembled and then “painted’ in the new livery of Aerolíneas Argentinas using stickers.
