Swoop on June 25 celebrated its inaugural flight from EdmontonInternational Airport (YEG) to John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM). The sold-out flight is scheduled to depart at 10:25 AM MDT. In addition to the first flight, Swoop announced Edmonton as its second operational base.
As of October, Swoop will base two of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft in Edmonton resulting in the creation of almost 90 jobs in the region.
Today, the airline also launched its inaugural flight from Winnipeg Richardson International airport to Hamilton.
Swoop also launched sold out flights from Hamilton, Abbotsford and Halifax on June 20.
