Video: McDonnell Douglas DC-9 landing on a short mountain runway in Venezuela

A new video from Just Planes:

In 2002 JustPlanes visited Aeropostal of Venezuela and filmed 14 flights in the cockpit of the airline’s Boeing 727s, McDonnell Douglas DC-9-21s, DC-9-31s and DC-9-51s from its Caracas base to half a dozen destinations in Venezuela as well as to Aruba and the Dominican Republic.

On this flight operated by a DC-9-31 (YV-24C) we follow the unusual approach into San Antonio flying overhead the airport and descending in between the mountains to land on a rather short runway with a mountain at the end.
