Bengaluru-based Star Air is set to add more Embraer 145 aircraft to its existing fleet in coming months. The company has a tie-up with Embraer and placed a new order for the purchase of three more advanced Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft. This deal is expected to strengthen Star Air relationship with Embraer further.
Star Air is currently operating in six Indian cities that include Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Belagavi, Hubballi, and Tirupati. It is a part of Sanjay Ghodawat Group (SGG), a diversified Indian conglomerate, with business interests in Aviation, Consumer Products, Education, Energy, Food Processing, Floriculture, Mining, Realty, Software and Textiles. It employees over 10,000 people across its different business verticals.
