Eurowings to add flights to Malta, Belgrade and Florence from Stuttgart

Eurowings has made this announcement:

Eurowings adds new destinations from Stuttgart to its summer flight schedule 2020: Starting on June 1, 2020, the airline flies twice a week, on Fridays and Mondays, to the Mediterranean island of Malta.

From June 1, 2020, Eurowings launches the connection from Stuttgart to Florence in Italy. The route will be operated four times a week – Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Starting on June 2, 2020, passengers will also be able to fly from the Swabian metropolis to Belgrade on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The island state Malta is located in the Mediterranean Sea and has three inhabited islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino. The Blue Lagoon is a popular excursion destination. The climate is pleasant all year round and even in winter at an average of very mild 15 degrees. Malta attracts its visitors with numerous bays, sandy beaches and rock caves to excursions and exploration tours.

Belgrade means “the white city” and is the capital of the Republic of Serbia. Due to its location at the estuary of the Sava into the Danube, Belgrade is often referred to as the gateway to the Balkans.

Florence is the capital of the Italian region of Tuscany and is famous for its numerous Renaissance masterpieces of art and architecture. It was also home to Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. In 1982, the historic city center was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

In other news, Eurowings will be flying thousands of football fans from 16 September 2019 to the guest appearances of their favorite teams throughout Europe: During the group phase of the European competitions, Eurowings has specifically increased flight capacity on its Europe-wide route network and offers football fans from Germany, England, Austria, Italy, Spain and Hungary a quick and easy journey to the respective venues. To date, 18 additional flights have already been scheduled: The Eurowings “fan pilots” not only fly between Barcelona and Düsseldorf as well as Cologne/Bonn, they also bring London fans to the Bavarian capital Munich. In addition, Eurowings is expanding its capacity on many existing connections by deploying larger aircraft – for example, on flights from Düsseldorf to Milan or Prague.

A very special highlight awaits fans of the European defending champion: for the first time, they can fly exclusively with Eurowings from Liverpool directly to the Mozart city of Salzburg for a match. In Salzburg, Eurowings now operates one of four bases outside Germany.

Eurowings has set up a special task force to provide these additional flights at short notice: Specialists from various fields work closely together here to ensure, in cooperation with the respective airports, that football fans can travel easily, quickly and punctually to the matches of their teams.
