Cathay Pacific to cut 6,000 positions and drop the Cathay Dragon brand

Cathay Pacific Group has agreed to scale back job cuts by 25 percent to 6,000 positions worldwide according to the South China Morning Post.

The group will also eliminate the Cathay Dragon brand.

Cathay Dragon is the premium, full-serviced regional airline of the Cathay Pacific group.

Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited currently operates as Cathay Dragon, and was previously known as Dragonair.

The group has not yet confirmed the report.
