Delta issues 3Q profit warning due to slowing demand due to surging Delta variant

Delta Air Lines is joining with other U.S. airlines to report a slowing in demand and a rise of cancellations this month due to the surging Delta variant of COVID-19.

The airline warned it is unlikely to report a profit again in the third quarter (usually a profitable quarter).
