Aleutian Airways delays its start of operations to the Spring of 2022

Aleutian Airways previously announced it would commence operations in the fall of 2021. This has now been delayed until at least March 2022 due to safety considerations.

Aleutian Airways is a new air service, using former PenAir SAAB 2000 aircraft, and is a joint venture between long time airline investor Wexford Capital, Juneau-based Alaska Seaplanes, and McKinley Alaska Private Investment, LLC.

Aleutian will now begin flying nonstop between Anchorage and Unalaska/Dutch Harbor (below) in Spring 2022.
