Wizz Air has announced the allocation of two new aircraft to its Tirana base. The new Airbus A320neo will join the fleet, enabling the start of two new routes from Tirana to Friedrichshafen and Rimini. As a result of that investment. The airline will also start operations to and from Kukës International Airport to Vienna, Memmingen/Munich West, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden and Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg.
Wizz Air started operations in Albania in April 2017 and has carried over 500,000 passengers over four years of successful operations. With today’s announcement, the airline will have a fleet of eight modern, state of the art young aircraft at its Tirana base by this Summer. Together with the six new routes, Wizz Air now offers 42 routes to 13 countries from Tirana.
