Aeroitalia has signed a strategic partnership with airport managing company F.A. Srl to base a 189-seat Boeing 737-800 at Forli.
The new airline will operate year-round service from Forli to Brindisi, Lamezia, Naples and Malta and seasonal service to Alghero, Olbia, Catania, Trapani and Lampedusa.
Flights begin on July 9, 2022.
Two additional Boeing 737-800s will arrive in June and another three between September and October.
Its future hub will be in Rome.

Forlì airport (FRL) in Emilia Romagna is named after Luigi Ridolfi, who was an Italian aviator in the early 20th century. It’s the closest one to Bologna-Borgo Panigale airport and it was the second airport in the region in terms of passenger traffic. Forlì airport constitutes, together with the Aeronautical Institute “Francesco Baracca”, the Aerospace Engineering Department of Bologna University, ENAV (air navigation service provider) Academy and the flight school “Professione Volare”, the Aeronautical Technological Pole.
