Bahamasair to replace Vision Airlines with new service to four U.S. cities

Bahamasair (Nassau) has announced it will startย nonstop flights between Freeport (Grand Bahama Island) and four U.S. cities including Richmond, Virginia; Louisville, Kentucky; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina and Baltimore/Washington. The new flights will start on May 1, 2012 in place of Vision Airlines’ previously operated service which ends on April 30.

The new routes will be operated with Boeing 737-400 aircraft operated by Xtra Airlines (Boise) configured with 138 coach seats and 12 first class seats.

Xtra Airways is operating Boeing 737-4S3 N43XA for DirectAir

Xtra Airways (Boise) is operating its Boeing 737-4S3 N43XA (msn 24796) for DirectAir (Myrtle Beach) in its 2008 livery with DirectAir titles. DirectAir offers low-fare nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach from Niagara Falls, Newark, Pittsburgh, Plattsburgh, Columbus, OH, Worcester, and Springfield, IL. DirectAir also flies to Punta Gorda (near Fort Myers) from Worcester, Kalamazoo/Battle Creek, Plattsburgh, Springfield, IL, Rockford and Niagara Falls, and also to Sanford (near Orlando) from Kalamazoo and Worcester.
