Azorra agrees to purchase 20 passenger-to-freighter conversions firm orders and 10 purchase rights, bringing the total agreement to up to 30 aircraft

Embraer and Azorra announced on July 21, 2026 an agreement for purchasing 20 passenger-to-freighter conversions firm orders and 10 purchase rights, bringing the total agreement to up to 30 aircraft. The order follows the successful entry into service of the E190F in March.

Built on the proven E-Jets platform with decades of operational success, the E-Freighter is designed to meet the fast-evolving demands of the express air freight industry, which requires fast deliveries and decentralized operations to high yield markets. Combining the lower and upper decks, the E190F offers more than 100 mยณ of cargo volume and up to 13.5 tons of payload, enabling the cost-efficient transport of express cargo.

The next generation of E-Freighters was developed to fill the gap between turboprops and larger narrowbodies and to replace older, less efficient models. Compared with classic narrowbodies, E-Freighters deliver 30% lower operating costs with similar cargo volume and range, while offering 35% extra volume capacity and more than three times the range of large cargo turboprops. The E190F is the quietest and greenest jet freighter, redefining efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability in air cargo.

The agreement marks Azorra’s entry into the freighter leasing market, positioning the company among the first lessors to commit to the Embraer E-Freighter. Designed for high-frequency, time-sensitive operations, the aircraft will improve regional connectivity and help open new trade routes across key growth markets, including Latin America, Southeast Asia and the Middle East and Africa โ€“ regions where Azorra has established expertise.
