ConViasa suspends operations until October 1

ConViasa de Havilland Canada (Bombardier) DHC-7-102 Dash 7 YV1003 (msn 103) OPF (Robert Collazo), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

ConViasa (Caracas) suspended all operations from Friday (September 17) until October 1 to review safety procedures after the recent crash and another emergency situation.

Merpati’s DHC-6 Twin Otter PK-NVC is missing

Merpati Nusantara Airlines’ (Jakarta) de Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otter PK-NVC (msn 626) is missing on a domestic flight in Papua (Indonesia) with 16 passengers and crew member on board. The passenger plane was reported missing yesterday (August 2) when it failed to arrive at Oksibil Airport (OKL) after a domestic flight from Jayapura (DJJ).
