Southwest Airlines in January 2019 will add five new routes from its home Dallas Love Field hub according to Airline Route:

Fort Myers – daily effective January 7, 2019

Louisville – daily effective January 7, 2019

Milwaukee – daily effective January 7, 2019

Minneapolis/St. Paul – daily effective January 7, 2019

Tucson – weekly effective January 13, 2019

In addition, the carrier will resume Newark – Nashville service on January 7, 2019.

In other news, the company ended serving peanuts on July 31, 2019:

Though the peanut has been an important part of our Company’s heritage and will always hold a special place in our Hearts, today marks the final day we’ll be serving them onboard.
