Vincent Aviation Australia is placed in receivership

Vincent SAAB 340B ZK-VAB (12)(Flt)(Vincent)(LR)

Vincent Aviation (Australia) (Darwin) today (May 28) was placed into receivership. All flights have been cancelled.

Parent Vincent Aviation (New Zealand) (Wellington) continues to operate.

The company issued this statement:

On Wednesday May 28, 2014, Andrew Fielding and Gerald Collins of BDO Business Recovery & Insolvency (Qld) Pty Ltd were appointed Receivers and Managers of Vincent Aviation. The Receivers and Managers ceased trading while an urgent assessment of the business and its operations is undertaken.

The appointment does not include or affect the New Zealand operations of Vincent Aviation Limited.

The fleet has been grounded while an assessment is made of the businesses viability. It is highly unlikely there will be any flights resumed in the short to medium term.

The airline was operating five 19-seat Beechcraft 1900C/Ds, four 34-seat SAAB 340Bs and one 76-seat BAe 146-200.
