United to retire last Boeing 737 after 41+ years

United Airlines (Chicago) will retire its last Boeing 737 on October 28 at the San Francisco hub after 41.5 years of faithful service. Both 737-322 N329UA and 737-322 N331UA will be retired on this day from revenue service at SFO and then flown to Victorville, CA for storage (N329UA on October 29 and N331UA on October 30). UA introduced the 737-222 into revenue service on April 28, 1968. Watch for an upcoming special AG salute to United’s 737s over the years.
