Aer Lingus threatens to set up UK subsidiary

Aer Lingus (Dublin) is threatening to start a subsidiary with its own AOC in the United Kingdom if its unions do not approve its newly-proposed major restructuring. This would permit new routes from the UK. The Irish flag carrier has already built up a large presence in London, especially at Gatwick Airport.
