Frontier names Republic’s N174HQ as “Buddy”

Frontier Airlines (2nd) (Denver) announced the name of the badger gracing the tail of Republic Airlines’ (2nd) (Indianapolis) 99-seat Embraer ERJ 190-100 IGW (N174HQ) aircraft. And the winner is … Buddy.

From May 28 through July 4, more than 15,000 Wisconsin residents voted online and at Milwaukee’s Summerfest for Bella, Buddy or Cookie. Frontier Airlines narrowed the list to those three names after receiving thousands of name suggestions from frequent flyers and others.
