Alaska Airlines announces a “Paint the Plane” contest

Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-790 WL N609AS (msn 29752) (Portland Timbers) LAS (Eddie Maloney) (new logojet), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

Alaska Airlines (Seattle/Tacoma) yesterday (January 27), in conjunction with the Portland Timbers, invited soccer fans to create artwork to adorn a Boeing 737-700 in a “Paint the Plane” contest. The Timbers-branded plane will be revealed this spring during the club’s 2011 debut Major League Soccer season.
