WestJet signs interline agreement with Delta, expands “Eastern Triangle” flights

WestJet Airlines Boeing 737-8CT WL C-GJWS (msn 34152) SFO (Mark Durbin), originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

WestJet Airlines (Calgary) and Delta Air Lines (Atlanta) yesterday (February 7) signed an interline agreement (click on photo for additional details).

Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines announced the start of codeshare service with Gol, immediately adding 15 new destinations to its South American network.

In other news, WestJet also announced details of an initiative aimed to better serve the needs of business travellers flying between Toronto and Montreal as well as Toronto and Ottawa.

Beginning on May 2, 2011, WestJet will offer 10 flights each business day between Toronto and Montreal and nine flights each business day between Toronto and Ottawa.
