Delta to cut flights to Japan by 15-20%, drops Haneda and will trim the Memphis hub by 25%

Delta Air Lines (Atlanta) announced major cuts at the J.P. Morgan Aviation, Transportation and Defense Conference yesterday.

The company will cut Japanese flights by 15-20 percent through at least May 2011 as the country recovers from the recent massive earthquake and tsunami. DL will also drop all service to Haneda but will continue its hub at Narita Airport.

The Memphis hub will lose around 25 percent of its flights.
