Nordic Global Airlines (Helsinki) is a new cargo airline in Finland. U.S.-based Neff Capital Management LLC has announced the launching of Nordic Global Airlines, Ltd. (NGA). NGA, which is expected to commence operations later this year, will begin service with McDonnell Douglas MD-11 freighters. Tentative routings include Helsinki/Asia and Helsinki/North America.

The company’s offices will be located at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Finnair Cargo, a subsidiary of the Finnish national carrier, and Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company are minority investors in the company.

Neff Capital Management is a Miami-based private equity firm focusing on control investments within the aviation industry. The firm was founded in January 2010 by Brian Neff, the former President of Southern Air Inc. In August 2010, the company acquired Complete Turbine Services, LLC, a leading independent engine MRO.
