Did China block an order for 15 Airbus A380s for Hong Kong Airlines?

Hong Kong Airlines (Hong Kong) according to this Reuters report was set to announce an order for 10 Airbus A380s at the Paris Air Show. The order was called off on Thursday due to China’s displeasure with the European Union’s plans to charge airlines for emissions.

Still to be confirmed, Hainan Airlines is believed to be the unidentified carrier that has ordered 15 new Boeing 747-800 Intercontinentals.
