Allegiant Air drops the Grand Rapids base

Allegiant Air McDonnell Douglas MD-88 N414NV (msn 49766) LAX , originally uploaded by Airliners Gallery.

Allegiant Air (Las Vegas) has decided to drop the Grand Rapids base on October 31.

According to this report by Channel 8, Allegiant will also drop its routes from GRR to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Myrtle Beach and Punta Gorda, Florida. Allegiant’s other flights to Sanford, Tampa, Mesa (Phoenix) and Las Vegas will continue to operate.
