Aerocardal operates its first scheduled flight in Chile

Aerocardal (Santiago) operated its first scheduled passenger flight on August 16 between Santiago and Vallenar, a mining and agriculture city 650 km north of Santiago. Dornier 328-100 CC-ACG (msn 3063), which is now named “Max” (after one of the airline owner’s son), operated the first flight. The airline will operate two roundtrips per week on Mondays and Fridays.

Aerocardal is expected to add other cities such as Copiapo in northern Chile and Chillan and Los Angeles in the south. A second Dornier 328-100 (CC-AEY) is due to arrive this weekend.
