Turkish Airlines to add 20 Boeing 737-800s and 15 737-900s by the end of 2015

Turkish Airlines (Istanbul) has announced it is taking delivery of 20 Boeing 737-800s and 15 Boeing 737-900 ERs. All of these Next Generation aircraft will be delivered with the Sky Interior.

Four of the aircraft (two Boeing 737-800s, two Boeing 737-900 ERs) will be delivered and added to the airline’s fleet in November and December, 2011, with delivery of the all airplanes to be completed by the end of 2015. These new aircraft are a part of Turkish Airlines’ ongoing fleet expansion and renewal.

Following the delivery in Seattle, Turkish Airlines has contracted with PATS Aircraft Systems in Georgetown, Delaware to install two additional fuel tanks increasing the Boeing 737-900 ERs’ range. The new 737-900 ER airplanes are scheduled to be used primarily on African routes.
