Lufthansa’s Supervisory Board approves 12 new aircraft orders including two additional Airbus A380s

Lufthansa’s (Frankfurt) Supervisory Board today approved an order for a total of twelve new aircraft for the Lufthansa Group. Of that number, two Airbus A380s and one Airbus A330-300 will be ordered for Lufthansa German Airlines for long-haul routes.

There are also plans to order four Airbus A320s for Lufthansa. In addition, five new Embraer ERJ 195s will be ordered to augment the Lufthansa Regional fleet. The new aircraft will be delivered to the Group in stages from 2012.
